Espresso
Properly done, espresso is made from a special blend
of Arabica coffees, chosen for intense aromatic flavors
And quality of performance during extraction. Espresso uses
Freshly ground coffee in the correct amount, firmly packed and
Then extracted under pressure. The end result will be a rich
concentration of coffee taste and aroma, topped with a
Dense golden-brown foam called “crema”.
Americano
A gourmet cup of coffee, Made by pouring one, two or three
shots of espresso over a 6 or 8 oz. cup of hot water. The “crema”
will float on top.
Cappuccino
An espresso based beverage, topped with equal parts of froth, milk
and espresso. 1/3 froth, 1/3 milk (liquid) 1/3 espresso.
The milk is frothed/steamed prior to the espresso
extraction, allowing the foam to separate from the milk.
Latte
An espresso based beverage, where a very dense
mixture of foamed/steamed milk is poured down the side of a cup
containing 1 or 2 shots of espresso. the pour allows
the milk and espresso to marbleize, forming a very
dense mixture. The taste of espresso can be experienced
with the first sip.
Mocha
A chocolate flavored latte, prepared the same as a latte
with chocolate added.
Iced Based Espresso Drinks
Iced based espresso drinks can be achieved
by adding cold milk and ice to the extracted espresso.
